Understanding the fare
¥155,100 is a sample fare based on an actual booking, for a medium bus with 25 people and 8 hours.
The fare covers 1 medium bus with a driver, fuel and vehicle insurance.
Expressway tolls to the Mt. Fuji area and parking fees at stops such as Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha are not included in the fare and are charged separately at actual cost.
On weekends, public holidays and in peak seasons, expect about 20% higher than on weekdays as a guideline. You can calculate an estimate based on Shizuoka Prefecture rates on our fares page.
Choosing the bus
A medium bus seats 27–33, the right size for this itinerary with 25 people.
Going 1 size up to a large bus gives more room for seats and luggage, but the fare is higher.
Depending on the vehicle, a small bus (21–25 seats) may not fit 25 people, so check the number of seats before deciding.
FAQ
- What should we do about the driver's lunch?
- In most cases, customers arrange it. If you tell the restaurant how many drivers there are, it may be able to prepare meals for the drivers. This is not mandatory.
- Can we eat boxed lunches (bento) on the bus?
- Yes, you can. Please take your trash with you.
- Does the fare change if our group grows or shrinks from 25 people?
- As long as you stay within the seating capacity of the medium bus, the fare is the same even if the number of people changes. If you exceed the capacity, the bus type changes, and so does the fare.
