Understanding the fare

The ¥385,000 shown is a sample fare for arranging this itinerary with a medium bus (10 people, 18 hours).

The fare covers 1 medium bus with a driver, fuel and vehicle insurance.

Expressway tolls to the Toba area, parking fees at stops such as Ise Grand Shrine (Geku and Naiku), and driver accommodation are not included in the fare and are charged separately at actual cost. Looking for driver accommodation within about 10 minutes or 5 km one way of your own accommodation helps keep the cost down.

Even for the same itinerary, allow about 20% higher than on weekdays for weekends and peak seasons. You can calculate an estimate based on Tokyo rates on our fares page.

Choosing the bus

A medium bus seats 27–33, the right size for this itinerary with 10 people.

The luggage compartment holds about 20 suitcases (a guideline).

If you have a lot of luggage or want more room in the seats, you can also choose a large bus. The fare is higher accordingly.

With a slightly smaller group, you could also choose a small bus (21–25 seats) to keep the fare down. Some small buses have no luggage compartment, so please let us know how much luggage you have.

FAQ

Do we need to arrange the driver's accommodation?
Driver accommodation is charged separately from the bus fare, and we ask you to provide a private room with bedding. The cost rises if it is far from your accommodation, so as a guideline, keep it within 10 minutes or 5 km one way.
What should we do about the driver's lunch?
In most cases, customers arrange it. If you tell the restaurant how many drivers there are, it may be able to prepare meals for the drivers. This is not mandatory.
Does the fare change if our group grows or shrinks from 10 people?
As long as you stay within the seating capacity of the medium bus, the fare is the same even if the number of people changes. If you exceed the capacity, the bus type changes, and so does the fare.
