Understanding the fare

The sample fare for this itinerary is ¥137,500 (minibus, 11 people, 9 hours).

This amount includes the minibus, the driver, fuel and vehicle insurance.

Expressway tolls to the Kamakura area and parking fees at stops such as Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine are not included in the fare and are charged separately at actual cost.

Weekends and peak seasons cost more than weekdays: about 20% higher as a rough guideline. If you tell us the date, times and addresses of the stops, we will prepare a quotation for your itinerary.

Choosing the bus

A minibus seats 21–27, the right size for this itinerary with 11 people.

A medium bus gives more seating and luggage space, but the rate is higher and it may have difficulty getting into stops on narrow roads.

With a slightly smaller group, you could also choose a commuter van (13 seats) to keep the fare down.

FAQ

What should we do about the driver's lunch?
In most cases, customers arrange it. If you tell the restaurant how many drivers there are, it may be able to prepare meals for the drivers. This is not mandatory.
Can we eat boxed lunches (bento) on the bus?
Yes, you can. Please take your trash with you.
Does the fare change if our group grows or shrinks from 11 people?
As long as you stay within the seating capacity of the minibus, the fare is the same even if the number of people changes. If you exceed the capacity, the bus type changes, and so does the fare.
