Understanding the fare

¥130,900 is a sample fare based on an actual booking, for a medium bus with 24 people and 8.5 hours.

This amount includes the medium bus, the driver, fuel and vehicle insurance.

Expressway tolls to a hotel in Kyoto and parking fees at stops such as Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion) are charged separately at actual cost.

On weekends, public holidays and in peak seasons, expect about 20% higher than on weekdays as a guideline. You can calculate an estimate based on Kyoto Prefecture rates on our fares page.

Choosing the bus

A medium bus seats 27–33, the right size for this itinerary with 24 people.

If you have a lot of luggage or want more room in the seats, you can also choose a large bus. The fare is higher accordingly.

Depending on the vehicle, a small bus (21–25 seats) may not fit 24 people, so check the number of seats before deciding.

FAQ

What should we do about the driver's lunch?
In most cases, customers arrange it. If you tell the restaurant how many drivers there are, it may be able to prepare meals for the drivers. This is not mandatory.
Can we eat boxed lunches (bento) on the bus?
Yes, you can. Please take your trash with you.
How far in advance should we book?
If a bus is available, we accept bookings up to 3 days before. Cancellation fees apply from 15 days before the date of use, so we recommend reserving early once your date is set.
