Understanding the fare

The sample fare for this itinerary is ¥113,300 (medium bus, 25 people, 6 hours).

This amount includes the medium bus, the driver, fuel and vehicle insurance.

Expressway tolls to the Otaru area and parking fees at stops such as Ainu Bunka Koryu Center are not included in the fare and are charged separately at actual cost.

Weekends and peak seasons cost more than weekdays: about 20% higher as a rough guideline. You can calculate an estimate based on Hokkaido rates on our fares page.

Choosing the bus

A medium bus seats 27–33, the right size for this itinerary with 25 people.

The luggage compartment holds about 20 suitcases (a guideline).

Going 1 size up to a large bus gives more room for seats and luggage, but the fare is higher.

Depending on the vehicle, a small bus (21–25 seats) may not fit 25 people, so check the number of seats before deciding.

FAQ

Are there English-speaking drivers?
In some areas, drivers who can handle English are available. Please ask when you book.
Is there an extra charge if traffic delays our return?
Delays for unavoidable reasons such as traffic congestion are not subject to extra charges. If the itinerary is changed for the customer's own reasons, the additional amount will be billed later.
How far in advance should we book?
If a bus is available, we accept bookings up to 3 days before. Cancellation fees apply from 15 days before the date of use, so we recommend reserving early once your date is set.
