Understanding the fare
The sample fare for this itinerary is ¥137,500 (medium bus, 19 people, 5 hours).
This amount includes the medium bus, the driver, fuel and vehicle insurance.
Expressway tolls to the Odawara area and parking fees at stops such as Enoura Observatory (Odawara) are charged separately at actual cost.
Weekends and peak seasons cost more than weekdays: about 20% higher as a rough guideline. If you tell us the date, times and addresses of the stops, we will prepare a quotation for your itinerary.
Choosing the bus
19 people fit comfortably in a medium bus (27–33 seats).
The luggage compartment holds about 20 suitcases (a guideline).
Going 1 size up to a large bus gives more room for seats and luggage, but the fare is higher.
With a slightly smaller group, you could also choose a small bus (21–25 seats) to keep the fare down. Some small buses have no luggage compartment, so please let us know how much luggage you have.
FAQ
- Are there English-speaking drivers?
- In some areas, drivers who can handle English are available. Please ask when you book.
- Does the fare change if our group grows or shrinks from 19 people?
- As long as you stay within the seating capacity of the medium bus, the fare is the same even if the number of people changes. If you exceed the capacity, the bus type changes, and so does the fare.
- How far in advance should we book?
- If a bus is available, we accept bookings up to 3 days before. Cancellation fees apply from 15 days before the date of use, so we recommend reserving early once your date is set.
